Vero Beach, FL / Southbridge : John V. "Jack" Leahey, 76, Formerly of Southbridge, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9th, in the Sea Breeze Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Vero Beach, FL, after a brief illness.

He leaves his beloved wife of 32 years, Virginia (Tanca) Leahey; a sister, Catherine Ryan and her husband James of Vero Beach, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack was born in Worcester the son of Edward T. and Gertrude M. (Donahue) Leahey.

He graduated from St. Peters High School in Worcester and obtained his Associates degree in business from Worcester Junior College.  Jack served honorably in the US Airforce.  He worked as a franchise owner and sales representative for Pepperidge Farm serving the Worcester area for 30 years prior to retiring.  Jack loved to travel with his wife.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox as well as the Patriots.  Jack had a love for cooking and would often create wonderful meals to share with family and friends.

A Mass for Jack will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 ^th at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge.  There are no calling hours.
