Biography
Southbridge: Joseph F. Maska, 74, of Girouard Ave., died Monday, July 4th, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Connie D. (LaBonte) Maska; a sister Rose Stefanski of Southbridge and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Adam Maska, Chester Maska, Henry Maska, Everett Maska and Bruno Maska and by two sisters, Nora Domurad and Evelyn DiPietro Eaton. He was born in Southbridge the son of Joseph and Katherine (Tobijka) Maska. He was US Army Veteran.
Joseph was a welder and worked for Lusignan Sheet Metal in Worcester for over 28 years before retiring several years ago. He previously worked for Southbridge Sheet Metal and A1 Sheet Metal in Worcester. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
His family would like to thank the staff of the Radius Healthcare Center in Southbridge for the excellent care given to Joseph.
In accordance with Joseph's wishes his funeral and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Radius Healthcare Center Activities Fund, 84 Chapin St., Southbridge, MA 01550.
The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
