Roland E. Tetreault
June 17, 1922 - May 6, 2012
Southbridge: Roland E. Tetreault, 89, of Moon St., died Sunday, May 6th, in the Life Care Center of Auburn, after an illness.
His wife, Evangeline R. (Gadbois) Tetreault, died in 2009. He leaves two daughters, Darla Hynes and her husband Wayne of Southbridge and Nancy Huttlinger of Colorado; a son, Robert Downs and his wife Jeanine of Oregon; two stepdaughters, Gail Aters of Illinois and Diane Dupre of Worcester; a stepson, Roland "Ron" Dupre and his wife Patricia of New Jersey; grandchildren, Lindsey Hynes and Justin Hynes along with many other grandchildren; and a great grandson, Cole Neeser. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard Tetreault and Ronald Tetreault and a sister, Claire Clay. He was born in Sturbridge the son of the late Eugene and Dora (Lamoureux) Tetreault. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 101st Airborne Division, he was in the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Roland was a Postal Carrier with the US Post Office in Southbridge for 35 years, retiring many years ago.
His funeral service and burial in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge, will be private. There are no calling hours.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
