Life Legacy
Morganville, NJ / Southbridge: Walter P. Seremet, 91, of 142 Conover Rd., formerly of 124 Highland St., Southbridge, passed away Wednesday, May 23rd., in the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Suzanne I. (Proulx) Seremet; four daughters, Martha Johnson and her husband Roger of Helena, AL, Linda Roman and her husband Robert of Morganville, NJ, Barbara Seremet of Quincy and Audra Brand and her husband Alan of Hoschton, GA; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and one sister. He was born in Southbridge the son of John and Sofia (Kondzielawa) Seremet and was a graduate of Cole Trade High School in Southbridge. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 10th Mountain Division and was a recipient of a Heroic Achievement Citation.
Walter was the co-owner of River Machine Tool & Die in Southbridge for 30 years retiring many years ago. He also owned Seremet Greenhouses in Charlton. He was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, in Southbridge. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 26th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church of the Blessed John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Saturday, May 26th, from 8:30 to 9:30am before the Mass.
