Wales : Alan B. Jalbert, 73, of Main St., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, July 17 ^th , after an illness.

He leaves his beloved wife of 33 years, Penny D. (Studer) Jalbert; his mother, Veronica M. "Virginia" (Dzura) Jalbert; his three sons, Bruce Jalbert of AZ, Nathan Jalbert of Thompson, CT, and Bernard Jalbert of N. Grosvenordale, CT; two stepsons, Robert Fuqua of Sturbridge and Michael Fuqua of NH; a daughter, Lynn Davis and her husband Emmett of Simpsonville, SC; a stepdaughter, Melissa Caine of Westminster, MD; his brother, Kevin S. Jalbert and his companion Debby Tharp of Wales; five grandchildren, Emmett Davis IV, Gracy Davis, Alexis Caine, Bryce Fuqua and Beth Fuqua; and a nephew, Zachary Berry of Wales.

Alan was predeceased by his father, Bernard E. Jalbert.

He was born in Southbridge and graduated from Tantasqua High School.  Alan was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Forrestal.  He and his wife Penny have owned and operated the Oak Haven Camp Ground in Wales for the past 34 years.  Alan loved camping with his family in Wales as well as in Florida at Three Lakes RV Resort in Hudson, FL.

A graveside service for Alan will be held on Saturday, July 25 ^th , at 12:00 pm, in Wales # 4 cemetery, Wales. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Saturday, July 25 ^th , from 10:00 am – 11:30 am, prior to the graveside service.

Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge is directing the arrangements.
