Southbridge: Angelo Monaco, 91, of Therese Ave., passed away on Friday, Jan. 1 ^st , in the Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, from complications due to Covid-19.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Susann (Brown) Monaco, who passed away in 2001.  He leaves his sister Jacqueline Bonavita of Springfield and many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his two dear friends, Katherine Sigalas and Dr. Elizabeth Berry.  He was born in Southbridge the son of Felix and Cecelia (Gillio) Monaco.

Angelo worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for many years, retiring many years ago.

Angelo's funeral service and burial in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Southbridge, will be private.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
