Southbridge: Anita Aurore (Peloquin) Archambault, 101, died peacefully in her home on January 27 ^th , surrounded by her loving family. She was born in and remained a lifelong resident of Southbridge.  After marrying Gerard "Jerry" Archambault in 1946 (who passed away in 1992), the couple raised four children: Jeff Archambault and his wife Marie of Paris France, Gisele Nee of West Hartford CT, Marc Archambault and his wife Debbie of Charlton, and Paula Letourneau and her husband Conrad of Southbridge.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kristin, Craig, Katie, Daniel, Alexander, Nicolas, and Carolina and five great-grandchildren: Cameron, Calli, Bryce, Jordan and Adeline and a 6 ^th on the way!

She worked for twenty-three years as a clerk in the sporting goods / automotive department at Ames Department Store.  After her retirement, she became a devoted volunteer in the Harrington Auxiliary at Harrington Memorial Hospital for over twenty-five years.  She was an avid Celtics fan even during their dark years! Anita was an active member of Notre Dame Church, now Saint John Paul II Parish, for many years including President of the Ladies of Saint Anne and a regular greeter at mass.  Her faith and devotion to God was essential throughout her life as was her love for her beloved family.  Her greatest pleasures in life were travelling, attending her children's and grandchildren's events, playing cards and Scrabble with her family!

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a mass of Christian burial at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 247 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, from 9:00 to 10:30 am, prior to the Mass.
