Southbridge: Antigoni "Ann" (Bruzios) Billis, 89, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28 ^th , surrounded by family at home after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Michael Billis; her son, William Billis and his wife Puja of Waterford, CT; her daughter, Olympia Borgstrom and her husband Charles of Southbridge; her sister-in-law, Emily Bruzios of Charlton; her three granddaughters, Samantha Borgstrom, Sarah Billis and Olivia Billis; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, George Bruzios and her sister, Helen Terpos.  Ann was born in Sotira, Greece, the daughter of Stavros and Fotini (Zikou) Bruzios.

Antigoni came to America when she was just thirteen. She worked for the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for several years before dedicating herself to her greatest joy, raising her family. She was a woman of many strengths. She loved to cook and garden, and her home was always open to everyone. She was like a "Yiayia" to many and really knew how to make everyone around her feel special. She was a devoted member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Southbridge. She enjoyed singing in the church's choir and was a member of its Philoptochos Society. Her gentle and loving energy will be remembered by all who knew her.

Ann's funeral will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4 ^th , from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, with a service at 12:00pm in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 55 North St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge.  A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4 ^th , from 10:30 to 11:30 am, prior to the service.
