Southbridge : Athanasios "Arthur" "Saki" Mouratoglou, 73, passed away on October 10th at Brigham and Women's Hospital with his family by his side.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria (Gregoriadou) Mouratoglou; his children John and Angela; his grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, John and Kate. He also leaves his brother Nikolaos Mouratoglou. He was predeceased by his parents Ioannis and Evangelia (Papayiannis) Mouratoglou, and his brother George. He leaves several sister in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends both in the United States and Greece.

Arthur was born in Mavrovouni, Edessa Greece. He and his family moved to the United States in 1978, where he made Southbridge his new home. Here he worked at the American Optical and Cranston Print Works before opening the family business, Great Oak Pizza, first in Sturbridge then moving the business to Southbridge. He enjoyed his days in the pizza shop, becoming a part of his community. He was an avid sports fan, both local and international.

Arthur was a kind man who loved his country, culture and family fiercely. He will be forever loved and his memory eternal.

Arthur's funeral will be held on Friday, October 17th, at 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Thursday, October 16th, from 5:00 to 7:00PM.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
