Southbridge: Barbara M. (Hatton) Galli, 96, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5 ^th , in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a long illness.

Her husband, Fedele "Fred" Galli, passed away in 1985.  She leaves her two sons, Richard Galli and his wife Stephanie of West Boylston and Bruce Galli and his wife Anne of Dudley; her seven grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Lauren, Michael, Nathan, Harrison and Sydney; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her two sisters, Sylvia Robidoux and Dorothy Walsh.  Barbara was the daughter of Thomas and Hilda (Hind) Hatton, who emigrated from England to the United States, subsequently settling in Southbridge where she live most of her life.

Barbara worked at Galileo Fiber Optics in Sturbridge for several years, retiring many years ago.  She previously worked at Mosaic Fiber Optics and Big Bunny Supermarket, both in Southbridge.  She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Church in Southbridge and sang in the church choir.  Barbara and her husband were avid dancers.  They belonged to Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Worcester and were competitive ballroom dancers, winning several competitions.  Barbara loved to cook and enjoyed playing Cribbage and Pitch with family and friends.

Barbara was a loving, kind and caring mother and was generous to a fault.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, for the wonderful care they gave their mom.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 13 ^th , at 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Feb. 13 ^th , from 9:00 to 11:00am, prior to the service.
