Sturbridge: Bruce A. Rich, 70, passed away on Sunday, October 6th, at his home, after an illness.

Bruce is survived by his wife Debora (Widtfeldt) Pirelli-Rich; his three sons, Christopher T. Rich of Sturbridge, Nicholas A. Rich of Holland, and Stephen C. Rich and his wife Fernanda of Sturbridge; his daughter, Renee N. Pirelli and her fiancé Tim Sevigney of Sturbridge; his 13 grandchildren, Paige, Christian, Chase, Declan, Damian, Dominick, Brian, Kim, Naomi, Brooke-Lynne, Cole, Christopher, and Raegan; and his former wife Linda S. Parker of Sturbridge.  His son, Andrew J. Rich, passed away in 2018.  He was also predeceased by his brother, Gordon E. "Skipper" Rich Jr.  He was born in Worcester on July 27, 1954, the son of the late Gordon E. and Ruth E (Wamback) Rich.  Bruce was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Bruce was a licensed electrician and also worked as a truck driver for Davis, Inc. He was known for his love of British crime shows, spending quality time with his family, and caring for his beloved kitties and supporting orphaned cats.

A calling hour for Bruce will be held on Saturday, October 12th, from 10:00 to 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
