Charlton: Carolyn J. (Abraham) Hafer, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 9th, with her loving family by her side, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband of 64 years, Larry E. Hafer, passed away in 2025. She leaves her children, Diana Ijams and her husband, Andrew, Pamela Renzoni and her husband, John, Frederick Hafer and his wife, Casey, Andrew Borer, Rita Draper and her husband, Matthew; ten grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Emily, Christine, Katherine, John, Sarah, Samuel, Richard, Nicole, and eleven great grandchildren.

Carolyn was born in Natick, the daughter of Frederick H. and Irene D. (Babineau) Abraham. As a military wife, she embraced a life of service alongside her husband, supporting him through deployments, moves, long separations and the many challenges that come with military life. She worked for many years as an Electronics teacher for HBM Electronics.  Carolyn and Larry enjoyed winters in Florida as well as their various other trips traveling together throughout the years. Most of all, Carolyn "Grammy" enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, vacationing at the "Little House" in Island Park, Rhode Island, and ensuring fun times and fond memories were had, by taking the grandchildren boating, fishing,

on pony rides, boogie boarding and visiting Uncle Andy in Newport RI,

A graveside service for Carolyn will be held on Friday, October 9th, at 1:00 PM in Northside Cemetery, Charlton.  There are no calling hours.
