Sturbridge: Celine A. (Lafrenais) Chamberland, 75, of First St., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd, in the Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a brief illness.

She leaves her beloved husband and best friend of 36 years, Mark Standrowicz and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Lafrenais.

Celine was born in Southbridge the daughter of Ephrem J. and Lea M. (Mandeville) Lafrenais.

She graduated from high school and went onto attend Becker College and obtain her Associates degree in business.  Celine started her career in insurance and owned and operated Vic's Spa in Southbridge for more than 15 years.  She started at Morse Lumber as a bookkeeper and purchaser then obtained her Construction Supervisor License.  She then worked for Midland Lumber supervising and building custom homes.  Celine also consulted with architects in planning and refitting public buildings for alternate use. Celine made gardening and landscaping her passion creating beautiful spaces to enjoy.  Spending time at the beach with Mark and having 5lbs lobsters were her favorites.

Funeral services and burial for Celine are private.  There are no calling hours.
