Sturbridge : Charlene L. (Chapman) McDonald, 91, of Main St., passed away on Friday, June 17th, in UMass Memorial-Southbridge, after a brief illness.

She leaves her three sons, Randall McDonald of Florida, Shawn McDonald of North Carolina and Keith McDonald of Holland; her three daughters, Sharon L. Martel and her husband David of North Carolina, Kimberly Barnes of New Hampshire and Claudine Remillard and her husband Albert of Thompson, CT; a brother, Kyle Chapmen and his wife Diane of Ludlow; 11 beloved grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Charlene was predeceased by a son, Rodney McDonald in 1982; a brother, Ronald Chapman and a sister, Romaine Marriot.

She was born in Salisbury, MA the daughter of Chester and Charlotte (LaMothe) Chapman.

Charlene worked as a lens inspector for the American Optical company in Southbridge for 30 years prior to retiring many years ago.

She was an energetic fun loving woman who had an addictive personality.  Charlene was always smiling and if you weren't laughing she wasn't happy.   She enjoyed dancing, baking and decorating cakes.  Charlene loved planning parties for her family and enjoyed celebration them.

A funeral service for Charlene will be held on Wednesday, June 22 ^nd at 11:00 AM in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, June 22 ^nd from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.

Burial will be private.
