Vernon, CT: Claire (LaForce) Adams, 94, of Vernon, CT and Nokomis, FL passed away peacefully at her home on October 16, 2022.

She was born on September 17, 1928 in Holyoke, MA, the daughter of Theodore LaForce and Isabelle Durand LaForce.  She married Robert F. Hart on August 23, 1952 and was widowed in 1969.  She later married Warren "Hank" K. Adams on May 12, 1979 and was widowed in 2004.  She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Hart Miceli and her husband Michael of Williston, VT and Barbara Hart and her husband Joseph Bizeau of Windsor Locks, CT, her granddaughter Erin Miceli Adams and husband Courtney of Williston, VT, her great-granddaughter, Carolina Adams along with numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many in-laws. She was predeceased by her sisters Constance and her husband Gerald Earls of Southbridge, MA and Madelyn and her husband William DiGregorio of Sturbridge, MA.

While in Connecticut, Claire worked as a school secretary in Enfield and Bloomfield and later for the Aetna Insurance Company and UConn Health Center and while living in New York, she worked for SUNY Binghamton and NYSEG.  Claire had a zest for life and she loved travel, theater and entertaining friends and family. She believed in the power of positive thinking and laughter as the best medicine.

Claire's funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26 ^th , from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 446 Main St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge.  A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26 ^th , from 9:30 to 10:30am, prior to the Mass.  Please note that Claire's family requires that  MASKS be worn by those attending (masks will be provided by the family).
