Sturbridge: Claudette E. (DuFault) Tardif, 76, of Clark Rd., passed away peacefully at home with her loving daughter by her side, on Sunday, July 18th after a long illness.

She leaves her daughter, Rebecca J. Mombourquette of Sturbridge who she lived with; her sister, Constance M. Beaulieu of Southbridge; her three grandchildren, Charles J. Mombourquette and his fiancé Elizabeth Forbes, Brett Mombourquette and Maggie Mombourquette; her two great grandchildren, Henry and Noah and many nieces and nephews.   Claudette was predeceased by her brother, Donald L. DeFault.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Rene J. and Mariette G. (LeFevre) DuFault.

Claudette graduated high school and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Holy Cross College in Worcester.  She was an English teacher and a social worker in her early years. She worked for the Dudley District Court as their Chief Probation Officer for the past 25 years prior to becoming ill. Claudette loved her family dog Misty but most of all she loved her family fiercely.

Funeral services and burial for Claudette will be private.  There are no calling hours.
