Southbridge – David J. Bonetti, 62, of Crane St., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, at UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves his sister, Laura Stacey of Newburyport, his two brothers, Albert P. Bonetti and Dennis M. Bonetti both of Wales and several nieces and nephews.

David was born in Hartford, CT the son of Primo G. and Maria V. (Rinaldi) Bonetti.  He graduated from trade school and went on to work for several years as a talented machinist in manufacturing prior to having to retire early.

Life was a struggle for David, but through it all, he always remained positive. Throughout his life, many people helped and supported him, and he was truly appreciative of each and every one of them. He never ended a phone call with his sister and guardian without saying, "Thank you" and "I love you."

Everyone who met David liked him. He loved having visitors and enjoyed sitting outside, talking with his neighbors. He was a kindhearted man who cared about others.

Although David didn't have much, he was always willing to share what he had with others. He especially loved spending time with his brothers—fishing, hunting, or simply visiting. He also treasured the time he spent with his two aunts.

David was a big teddy bear with a hearty laugh. He will be deeply missed by his sister, brothers, and entire family.

Our hope is that David is finally free from his struggles and has found peace. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, his positive spirit, and his wonderful laugh.

A graveside service for David in North Cemetery, Sturbridge will be private.
