Southbridge: Dennis J. Rines, 70, of Marcy St., passed away on Friday, Nov. 11th, in Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT, with his family by his side, after a long illness.

He leaves his three sons, Jeremy J. Rines his partner Karen Lechnar of Southbridge, Joel D. Rines and his partner Gracie Day of Southbridge and Ian J. Rines and his partner Carolyn Towle of Southbridge; his three daughters, Alissa V. Rines of Woodstock, CT, Jessica S. Rines of Southbridge and Lauren E. Gonzalez of Southbridge; his brother, Kevin R. Freeland of N. Grosvenordale, CT; a sister, Debra L. Goulet and her husband Wayne of Southbridge; seven grandchildren, Annabelle, Doug, Tayler, Camille, Olive, Jullien and Alex; and his beloved great grandchild, Amias.  Dennis was predeceased by two sisters, Carol A. Forand and Linda L. Bombard.

He was born in Worcester, MA the son of John M. and Marion M. (Regis) Rynkowski.  Dennis graduated from Cole Trade in Southbridge and worked all his life in manufacturing and assembly of fiber optics.  He was an avid music fan and musician.  Dennis loved playing the drums and spent his teenage years in the music scene making lifelong friends with many local musicians. He continued his passion of music throughout his life and influenced his loving children.  He had a massive love for caramel flavored coffee, ice-cream and enjoyed hundreds of vanilla frappes.  Dennis enjoyed the autumn season and taking his children and grandchildren pumpkin picking. He loved trips to the ocean, fishing and listening to The Beatles.  Dennis was known to have a goofy sense of humor.  He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild.

Calling hours for Dennis will be held on Monday, Nov. 21st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM.  Burial will be private.
