Hampton, NH: Diane C. Sawicki, 76, of Dearborn Ave., passed away unexpectedly on January 26th in her home.

She leaves her son, Joseph Z. Sawicki and his wife Meghan of Faribault, MN; her loving daughters, Laurie Sawicki of Wolfeboro, NH and Amanda Broder and her husband Rob of Shelburne, VT; her brother, Robert Jacques and his wife Sandy of Southbridge; Grandchildren, Emma Sawicki, Aaron Sawicki, Cole Butcher, and Eleanor Broder.

She was predeceased by her brother Richard Jacques.

Diane was born in Southbridge, the daughter of Roger J. and Cecile E. (Lamothe) Jacques.

She loved growing up on Mechanic Street in Southbridge and often spoke fondly of playing with neighborhood friends and spending time with her grandparents. Diane spent most of her working life as a bank teller in Southbridge and New Hampshire before retiring from LTC Partners Insurance in 2020.

Diane was vibrant and active, with a deep love of crafting, reading, and time at the beach. Above all, she cherished her family and friends. She started weekly dice games with neighbors in her apartment building and kept up regular lunch dates with former coworkers. Christmas was especially dear to her, she delighted in creating meaningful, handmade gifts for the people she loved. Quick-witted and playful like her father, and warm and joyful like her mother, Diane laughed easily and loved to tease. When asked recently what she was most proud of, her answer was simple and heartfelt: her children.

A funeral service for Diane will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, at 11:00am. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held Tuesday, February 10th from 10:00-11:00am, prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
