Sturbridge: Donald Belanger, 54, passed away on Sunday, July 20th, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 28 years, Lisa (Seabourne) Belanger; his two sons, Jacob Belanger and his lifetime partner, Megan Albertini of Driggs, Idaho and Tyler Belanger of Sturbridge; his father, Armand Belanger of Newington, CT; his brother, John Belanger and his wife Kelly of Windsor, CT; his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Pat Seabourne of East Brookfield; his sister-in-law, Sarah O'Leary and her husband Gerry of Manchester by the Sea, MA; his brother-in-law, Billy Seabourne and his wife Beth of West Tisbury, MA; and many nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was born in Hartford, CT the son of Armand Belanger and the late Beverly (Ouelette) Belanger.  Don was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, and maternal grandparents.

Many evenings he could be found with his loving wife, Lisa sitting on their deck with a fire listening to music.  Don cherished the time he spent with his two boys, coaching their sports teams or fishing.  He also cherished time with friends and family and his 3 Weimaraners.  Two of Don's favorite places to spend time were on South Pond or watching the sunset in Key West.  Don loved all sports and could spend endless hours talking sports with anyone.

A time to celebrate Don and share memories will be held on Friday, July 25 th at the Oakholm Brewery, 80 Lake Rd, Brookfield, MA from 1:00 to 4:00 (casual dress please).  Burial will be private.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
