Southbridge: Dorcas M. (Renaud) McNamara, 93, of Newell Ave., passed away on Thursday, May 20 ^th , in her home after a long illness.

Her husband, Edward W. McNamara, passed away in 2000.  She leaves her two sons, Thomas J. McNamara of Southbridge and Edward J. McNamara of Southbridge; her sister, Miriam Knight of Arcadia, CA; two grandchildren, Kristen M. Antrim of Georgia and Matthew J. McNamara of Connecticut; six great grandchildren, Tory L. Shuman, Landen Antrim, Kyren Antrim, Cassidy Gaynor, Elias McNamara and Jackson McNamara; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Stanford Renaud and her sister, Jacqueline Shearer.  She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Ernest and Laura (McCracken) Renaud.

Dorcas worked at the Center Pharmacy in Southbridge and later at Crystal's Hallmark Store in Southbridge, before retiring many years ago.  She was an avid antique collector, especially from the colonial period.  She enjoyed reading, especially historical fiction.  She also enjoyed collecting teddy bears, bird watching, doing wordsearch puzzles and watching the Home Shopping channel.  She loved watching movies and her favorite was the Thorn Birds.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 26 ^th , at 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, May 26 ^th , from 9:00 to 11:00am, prior to the service.
