Southbridge: Dorothy T. (Osowski) Aucoin, 90, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6 ^th , in her home after a long illness.

Her husband, Richard H. Aucoin, passed away in 2009.  She leaves her three children, Jane M. Burwick and her husband Bruce of Boynton Beach, FL and New York City, NY, Darcy E. Aucoin of Southbridge and John R. Aucoin and his companion Doreen McCausland of Woodstock, CT; her grandson, Zachary Medress of New York City, NY; her friend and loving caregiver, Debbie Bailey of Southbridge; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Daniel Mahoney and her three brothers, Robert Osowski, Henry Osowski and Victor Osowski.  Dot was born in Southbridge the daughter of Henry and Wanda (Polakowski) Osowski.  She received her associates degree from Clark University in Worcester.

Dot was a licensed realtor for 35 years and owned and operated Aucoin Realty for 20 years before retiring.  She previously worked for Bousquet Realty, Swiacki Realty and Horn & Hastings Realty all in Southbridge.  Dot was a member of the Harrington Hospital Auxiliary and the Southbridge Women's Club.  She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Cohasse Country Club in Southbridge for 35 years.  She was also an avid cribbage player.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Debbie Bailey and Gail Goodnough and also the staff from Care Central VNA and Hospice for all the care and compassion they gave to Dot.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 24 ^th at 11:00am in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23 ^rd from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
