Southbridge : Edward S. Iozzo, 71, of Main St., passed away on Friday, April 24th in the UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus, Worcester.

He leaves his son, Christopher E. Iozzo and his wife Melissa of Charlton; his daughter, Melissa A. Flaherty and her husband John of Southbridge; his five brothers, Jim Iozzo, Scott Iozzo, Barry Iozzo, Marty Iozzo, and Lonny Iozzo; his four sisters, Carol Iozzo-Langlois, Sue Mroczkowski, Jody Fleming and Tammy Courtemanche; his three grandchildren, Ava, Aubrey and Chace; and his many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Randy Iozzo.

Edward was born in Southbridge the son of Lorenzo and Lillian (Noga) Iozzo.

He worked many years as a professional card dealer at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut.   Edward loved construction and cherished his time as a young man working side by side with his father.  He loved tending his multiple vegetable gardens and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia.  He was passionate about sports.  He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball and bowling, and he was a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan.
