Southbridge: Elaine M. Chouinard, 68, passed away on Monday, Nov. 8 ^th , in her home after a short illness.

Elaine leaves her brother, Stephen Chouinard of Pomfret, CT.  She was predeceased by her sister Nancy F. Chamberland in 1989.  She was born in Southbridge the daughter of the late Roger E. and Frances M. (Ziemba) Chouinard.

Elaine worked as a supervisor at Galileo Fiber Optics in Sturbridge for many years, retiring several years ago.  In her younger years she worked at the Miami Seaquarium helping to train dolphins and killer whales for the Flipper Dolphin Show at the aquarium.  Some of the dolphins she helped to train were formerly used for the Flipper TV show.  Elaine was a caregiver to both of her parents and enjoyed taking care of the family home.

Elaine's funeral and burial will be private.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
