Sturbridge: Elizabeth F. "Sis" (Snow) Chapdelaine, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 29th, after a long illness.

Her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Chapdelaine, passed away in 2011.  She leaves her daughter, Debra A. McDonald and her husband David of Three Rivers; her daughter and caregiver, Laurie J. Spizzuoco and her husband Joseph of Charlton; her sister, Judy Anctil and her husband Al of Charlton; her three grandchildren, Jessica Garcia and her husband Michael, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Romani and her husband Gavin and Eric Proulx and his girlfriend Amanda Kolesinski; her three great grandchildren, Myah and Maxx Garcia and Eli Romani: and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Snow.  She was born in Southbridge the daughter of the late Archie and Viola (Jalbert) Snow.

Sis worked at the Ames Department Store in Southbridge and later in Sturbridge for 35 years.  She later worked at JC Penney in Sturbridge for 9 years before retiring many years ago.  She and her husband Ernie were longtime members of the Central Mass Wanderers, a classic car club.  Sis loved being outdoors, she loved to garden and enjoyed walking.  She enjoyed travelling to Wells, ME and visiting one of her favorite places, the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, ME.  Above all Sis cherished being surrounded by her family.

Calling hours for Sis will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 6:00pm.  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
