Charlton/Southbridge: Emily (Theodoss) Bruzios, 91, of Charlton, formerly of Southbridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 10th, at the Overlook in Charlton, after a brief illness.

Her husband of 51 years, George S. Bruzios, passed away in 2014. She leaves her two sons, Stephen Bruzios and his wife Dianna of Oxford and Christopher Bruzios and his wife Mojgan of Somerset, NJ; her daughter, Elaine Bruzios and her husband John O'Brien of West Boylston; her two grandchildren, Kathryn Bruzios and Nicholas Bruzios; her sister-in-law, Margaret Theodoss of Hudson; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, George Theodoss and her sister, Catherine George. Emily was born in Southbridge the daughter of Sotir and Evangelia (Nikolla) Theodoss.

Emily worked as a secretary at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for 10 years. She later worked for the law firm of Morrill and Lamarine in Southbridge before retiring many years ago. She was a lifelong member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Southbridge and a member of its Philoptochos Society.  Emily's biggest joy came from spending time with her family. She enjoyed all the wonderful years spent with her late husband George and had fond memories of their long walks together holding hands and telling stories. They were also fond of gardening and cooking for family and friends. She was proud of raising her three children and was selfless in her care for others. She cherished her time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Overlook during her 15 years there. She appreciated all the friends she made over the years and enjoyed the numerous activities in which she participated.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 15th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service at 12:00pm in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 55 North St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Thursday, Dec. 14th, from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
