Charlton: Evelyn A. Spedding, 81, of Old Spencer Rd., passed away on Saturday, March 26th, in UMass Harrington, Southbridge, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband of 32 years, Richard J. Spedding died in 2018.

She leaves her three sons, Timothy P. Bermingham and his wife Christine of Brookfield, Thomas F. Bermingham and his wife Kelly of Washington and Joseph J. Bermingham and his wife Jessica of Charlton; her two daughters, Pamela A. Harmat and her husband James of Charlton and Christina M. Bouchard and her husband James of Charlton; a brother, Hector Tremblay of Maine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Francis J. and Margaret (Gilbert) Tremblay.

Evelyn was an avid quilter and enjoyed trips to Hampton Beach and visiting light houses on the East Coast.

Calling hours for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St. Southbridge.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home.  Burial will be private.
