Southbridge: Franchesca "Fran" Guzman, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 1 ^st , in the Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge.

She leaves her mother, Maria Mercedes Quinones and her stepfather, Noel Pizarro of San Isidro Canovanas, Puerto Rico; her partner, Owen Hicks of Southbridge; her three brothers, Jonathan Guzman and his wife Cynthia of Middletown, NY, Carlos D. Soto of New Jersey and Antonio Vargas of Bronx, NY; and her beloved dog, King.  She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Luis Guzman.  She was born in Puerto Rico in 1977. She was raised in Sunset Park Brooklyn alongside her brothers by their parents.

Fran worked for H.S. & T. Group Inc. in Worcester for the past 6 years.

Fran was as amazing as her Facebook nametag, "Franz Amazin". She was very close to her parents and really loved and cared for her family. Fran was connected to so many people who loved her and respected her for who she was. She always spoke her mind fearlessly but if you knew her well enough, she was very loving and caring inside. 6 years ago she moved from Brooklyn to Southbridge Massachusetts  for a new chapter in her life. She was surrounded by loving people whom she had grew up with and also had met in this new chapter. Her dog King who was her heart and religiously kept by her side.

She was a hard worker and was loved by her employer. There she met the man who she eventually fell in love with. Recently she proudly displayed her new home for all to see how her hard work was paying off. She was living her happiest days.

Sadly, on October 1st she was taken from us. A loving daughter, sister, and friend to many. No words can describe the whole she will leave in of our hearts.

Calling hours for Fran will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7 ^th , from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Funeral services and burial will be private.
