Sturbridge : Gladys E. (Atwood) Santelli, 83, of Vista Lane, passed away on Friday, Oct 15th in UMass Memorial, Harrington, after an illness.

She leaves her beloved husband of 63 years, John D. Santelli; her two sons, Pastor Mitchell J. Santelli and his wife Susan of Woodstock, CT and Dana J. Santelli and his wife Jane of Athens, TX; a daughter, Nina C. Lassell and her husband Jac of Southbridge; seven grandchildren, Brittney Campbell, Natalie Santelli, Wesley Santelli, Kyle Moreau, Dillon Santelli, Micah Santelli, Chad Santelli and seven great grandchildren.  Gladys was predeceased by a brother, Arthur J. Atwood, Jr. and a half brother, William Atwood

She was born in Boston the daughter of Arthur J. and Eileen F. (McComisky) Atwood, Sr.

Gladys worked as a hairdresser for several years prior to retiring many years ago.   She enjoyed to travel and trips to the beach.  Gladys was a kindhearted spiritual woman who loved to share the word with others.  She was a member of the Red Hatters Club and ran the soup kitchen at St. Mary's Church in Southbridge for several years.  Gladys loved her family and cherished all the time she spent with them as well as with her friends.

The family has asked that you join them for a celebration of life for Gladys on Friday the 29 ^th of Oct. at 11:00 AM in the Faith Bible Evangelical Free Church, 587 CT Route 171, Woodstock, CT 06281.

There are no calling hours.  Burial will be private at a late date.
