Southbridge: Jacqueline A. (Poirier) Ricci, 87, formerly of Lebanon Hill Road, Southbridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 14th, at The Overlook Healthcare Center, Charlton. She was born on July 4, 1938.

She was a devoted wife, a loving sister, a caring mother and a proud Nana of four grandchildren. She cherished every moment she spent with her family.

She leaves her husband of 65 years, Amadio J. 'Maddy' Ricci, Sr.. Her two sons, Amadio J. 'John' Ricci, Jr. and his longtime companion Catherine Berkley of Hobe Sound, FL and David M. Ricci and his wife Lisa of Southbridge; her sister, Celine A. Mani and her husband Paul of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her brother, Robert P. Poirier and his wife Janet of Southbridge; her four grandchildren, Alexandra Ricci and Christina Ricci, both of St. Louis, MO and Madison Ricci and Jack Ricci, both of Southbridge; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Diane C. Phipps and her husband Robert.  Jackie was born in Southbridge, the daughter of the late Leopold and Annette (Mathieu) Poirier.  She was a graduate of the St. Vincent Hospital School for Nursing and later received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Worcester State College.

Jackie dedicated more than 50 years to the nursing  profession at Harrington Memorial Hospital, specializing in Pediatrics, and later moving into Nursing Management.  She cared for generations of children and her lifelong devotion to nursing was not just a career, but a calling that touched countless lives.

Jackie loved cooking shows, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed shopping, spoiling her grandkids and Uno game nights.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 20th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 247 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, will be at a later date.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19th, from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
