Fiskdale, MA – Jean E. (Swan) Hoenig, 94, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Sunday, December 18th, after an illness.

Her beloved husband of 53 years, Myron M. Hoenig died in 2003.  Jean leaves her four sons, Michael Hoenig and his wife Donna of Fiskdale, Thomas Hoenig and his wife Cheryl of Maine, Jeffrey Hoenig of Fiskdale and William Hoenig and his wife Kathleen of Fiskdale; her two daughters,  Krista Stanley and her husband David of Fiskdale and Jennifer Spidle and her husband Sylvester of Fiskdale; nine grandchildren, Melissa Morgan, Keri Hoenig, Lori Thompson, Jason Hoenig, Philip Hoenig, Kathleen Stanley, Gile Spidle, Ryan Stanley and Jamie Spidle; nine great grandchildren and a nephew Burton Swan.  She was predeceased by her brother, Burton Donald Swan.

Jean was born in Fiskdale the daughter of Burton and Grace (Streeter) Swan.  She graduated from Wells High School in Southbridge.

Jean worked as a telephone operator, first at a The Telephone Company, then at the American Optical Company in Southbridge where she retired after 40 plus years.  She later worked at the Sturbridge Antique Store in sales for over 20 years.  She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Jean's family wishes to thank the staff from Dr. William Gaines' Office, UMass Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospice for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services and Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.
