Woodstock, CT: Jessica D. Tappin, 41, of Senexet Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 24 ^th .

She leaves her parents, Matthew W. and Mary Ellen (McNerney) Tappin; her bother, Nicholas R. Tappin and his wife Linnea; her niece and nephew, Delaney Tappin and Mathew Tappin; and several uncles and cousins.

Jessica was born in Southbridge and graduated from Woodstock Academy.  She went onto attend college at the College of Charleston, obtaining her Bachelor's degree in English.  Jessica then furthered her education at the American University in Washington, D.C., receiving her Master's degree in Creative Writing.   She worked as an English professor at several colleges, most recently at the Community College of Rhode Island.   Jessica was a passionate person and an avid reader who loved to write.  Her creativity also shined through in her commitment to her students in a field that she loved.  Her loving and witty personality will be missed by all.

A memorial Mass for Jessica will be held at a later date to be announced.  There are no calling hours.
