Fiskdale: Joan M. (Frey) Cancelliere, 69, of Main St. passed away on Friday, March 6 ^th , in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.

She leaves her son, Brian Raymond and his fiancé Sarah of Fiskdale; her three daughters, Melissa Trinidad-Stone and her husband Ray Stone of Dudley, Michele "Shelli" Fairbrother and her husband Casey of Sturbridge and Jamie and her fiancé Michael Ogden of Holden; her two sisters, Gail Morin and her husband Richard of Somers, CT and Carol Ornifer and her husband Andrew of Enfield, CT; her 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Mikayla, Ayden, Sophia, Lauren, Alex, Connor, Isabella, Jack, Piper and Ryann; and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth.  She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Mattoon.  Joan was born in Hartford, CT the daughter of Russell L .and Marguerite L. (Dowling) Frey.

Joan was a Registered Nurse and Nursing Supervisor for 25 years at the Springfield Municipal Hospital which later became Park View Hospital, Vibra Hospital and then Kindred Hospital by the time she retired in recent years.  She attended St. Anne's Church in Sturbridge.  Joan enjoyed all of the New England sports teams, trips to the beach and reading.  Most of all Joan enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank Joan's caregivers, Heather, Patty and Iesha for all of the care and compassion they gave her during her illness.

Calling hours for Joan will be held on Friday, March 13 ^th , from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home.  Burial in North Cemetery, Sturbridge, will be held at the convenience of the family.
