Sturbridge: Joseph P. Tomlin, 25, of Shepard Rd., Sturbridge passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 7th.

He leaves his mother, Tammy N. Louyakis and his step-father David Louyakis of Sturbridge; his father, Joseph P. Tomlin and his wife Kimberly of Ware; four brothers, Efstratios Louyakis of Groveland, FL, Nathan Pierce of Warren, Austin Tomlin of Warren, and Kyle Sullivan of Sturbridge; four sisters, Jessica Buteau and her husband Jeremy of Southbridge, Kayla O'Brien of Auburn, Alexia Louyakis of Sturbridge and Amber Pierce of Warren; his close cousin, Sam Decell. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his loyal and loving dog, Toby. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Shawn O'Brien.

He was born in Worcester on February 28, 1998. He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School, specializing in Carpentry. He worked as a Tow Truck Driver for Interstate Towing in Sturbridge.

Joey was a tow truck driver, a job that exemplified his natural inclination to assist people in their times of need. He had a special bond with animals and a love for children, creating a ripple of positivity wherever he went. His love for riding his bike was second only to the community of friends he built around his shared passion.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, at 11:30am. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Tuesday, September 19th from 9:30 to 11:30am prior to the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
