Holland: John R. Cavagna, 93, of Wales Rd., passed away on Monday, Dec. 21 ^st , in his home after an illness.

His wife, Doris (Perrault) Cavagna, passed away in 2012.  He leaves his s a son, Joseph Markstein and his wife Diane of Narragansett, RI; a daughter, Joyce Folger of Holland; 5 grandchildren, Marie Kelly and her husband Brian of Dudley, Arthur Folger and his wife Lisa of Holland, John Folger and his wife Virginia of Holland, Lyn Budaj of Rhode Island and Lisa Evans of Rhode Island; 11 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Edith Cavagna, Victoria Callahan and Gloria Horbal.  He was born in Hartford, CT the son of Angelo and Mary (Pasenti) Cavagna.  He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.

John worked for many years at the Whitney Chain Co. in Hartford, CT, retiring many years ago.  He enjoyed golfing and bowling.  He also enjoyed collecting and selling antiques.

A private graveside service was held in the Holland Cemetery, Holland.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
