Charlton: John G. Lacerte, Jr., 58, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1 ^st , in UMass Memorial-Harrington Hospital, Southbridge, surrounded by his loved ones after a brief illness.

He leaves his four sisters, Judith Paige of Shrewsbury, Evelyn Lindsay of Shrewsbury, Penny Worcester MacFarlane of Preston, CT and Patricia Morales of Worcester; many nieces and nephews, Joe Ferraro Jr of Worcester, Nicole Febo and her husband Alberto and family of Charlton with whom he resided with for the past 17 years, Mark Luna and his wife Tanya and family of Worcester, Sandra Jimenez and her husband Angel and family of Leominster, and Stephen Worcester of Worcester.  He was born in Worcester the son of Sandra (Mellor) Lindsay and was raised in Charlton by his father John G. Lacerte Sr. and went on to serve in the US Navy.

John was an OSP Specialist for Cyient Engineering and Manufacturing.   He was also co-founder for 508 Contracting with his nephew Mark.   He was a man of many talents and easily learnt new skills. He could do anything he set his mind to.  John loved to travel and especially enjoyed taking road trips.  Above all he was a selfless, generous person who enjoyed doing things for others. He would and did do anything and everything he could for the people he loved. He was a huge important part of our family and he will be missed and loved by many forever. He was such a unique, intelligent, interesting, funny, loving, caring wonderful man that was loved dearly by his family.

Calling hours for John will be held on Friday, Jan. 7 ^th , from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  His funeral service and burial will be private.
