Southbridge: John N. Woulas, 96, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26 ^th , in the Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, after a brief illness.

His wife, Rita B. (Pezzetti) Woulas, passed away in 2012.  He leaves his two sons, Dr. Michael Woulas and his wife Nancy of Bonita Springs, FL and Mark Woulas of Auburn; two sisters, Mary Woulas of Nashua, NH and Dorothy McDonald of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Nevin Woulas, Jason Woulas and his wife Paula and Bryan Woulas; and a great grandson, Braeden Woulas.  He was predeceased by his two sisters, Andronika Mitsis and Helen Tanionos.  He was born in Southbridge, the son of Nicholas and Vasiliki (Gianoutsos) Woulas.  John was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II.

John owned and operated Edgemere Liquors in Shrewsbury for over 20 years, retiring in 1965.  He was a Free Mason and member of the Quinebaug Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Southbridge.  He lived many years in Naples, FL before moving back to Southbridge.

His funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 10 ^th , at 11:00am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 55 North St., Southbridge.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge.  There are no calling hours.
