Brimfield/Southbridge: Judith A. McDonnell, 89, of Colonial Park, formerly of Southbridge, passed away while in the loving care of her family on Tuesday, Jan. 7th.

She leaves her sister, Kathleen M. Ohop of Brimfield; her niece, Jennifer M. Ohop and her husband Glenn D. Clark of Holland, whom she fondly called "her nephew".  She also leaves her beloved cousins and many close friends.

Judith was born in Southbridge,the daughter of Walter J. and Kathleen C. (Coonan) McDonnell.  She was a 1953 graduate of the former Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge and lived in town for most of her life before moving to Brimfield.  She worked for over 40 years as a banker.  Judy was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Parish in Southbridge and enjoyed attending and volunteering for charity functions at the church. Judy developed a deep fondness for animals when she met her cat Noah who lived with her for many, many years.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 13th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.  A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Jan. 13th, from 9:30 to 10:30am.
