Obituary

Fiskdale: Judith Gale (Deering) Prince, 85, of Heritage Green Dr., passed away from natural causes on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at UMass Medical Center, Worcester.

She was born in Dover Fox Croft, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth and Sara (Vane) Deering and had 15 siblings, the ultimate "middle child".  All but 3 remaining; Betty Dukette and Sharon Goddeau of New Hampshire and Suzanne Gibson of Florida.

Judy gave birth to eight children and is survived by 3 daughters, Wendie LeBlanc and her husband Russell of Florida, Tammy Tokarz and her partner, Lionel Gaumond of Southbridge and Tracy Prince of Fiskdale; as well as 2 sons, Wayne Prince and his wife, Elsie of Maine and Warren Prince and his wife, Laura of Connecticut; thirteen surviving grandchildren, Jamie Cornell, Joshua, Danny and Angela Prince, Jodi and RJ Howell, Troy Prince, Wendie Dilk, Eric Schwartz, Jesse Tokarz, Ashley Benvenuti, Kaden and McKenna Ryan; as well as 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Henry (Sonny) Prince; 1 son, William Howell; 2 daughters, Pamela Prince and Tina Schwartz; as well as 2 grandchildren, Caryn Prince and Ryan LeBlanc.

Judy will be loved and remembered as a strong and feisty woman with deep love for a room full of children, those of family and of friends. When she wasn't babysitting she was working anywhere from restaurants to factories, as a former employee of American Optical and Galileo Electro Optics, from which she retired.

She spent most her life traveling with her husband and kids from one state to another until finally settling in Fiskdale, MA. Judy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. And, by the wonderful, professional doting staff who took care of her on Floor #6 West at UMass Medical Center.

Calling hours for Judy will be held on Wednesday, June 18th,  from 5 pm to 7 pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Funeral services and burial will be private.
