Southbridge: Karen M. (Farrell) Dunham, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 28th, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, after a brief illness.

She leaves her husband of 24 years, James T. Dunham; her two sons, Luke P. Desautels of Milford and Jeffrey D. Desautels of Portland, OR; and her sister, Ellen Tanner and her husband Scott of Rochester, NY.  She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Farrell.  Karen was born in Rochester, NY the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia (Bartolotta) Farrell.  She received her bachelors degree from State University of New York College at Geneseo.

Karen worked with people with special needs at the Southern Worcester County Collaborative, retiring in recent years.  She also volunteered with the Center of Hope in Southbridge.

The family would like to thank the staff of the west wing of the 8th floor of UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus, and the team at Rose Monahan Hospice for caring for Karen during her illness.

Karen's funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
