Southbridge: Kathleen M. (Mirigliano) Cope, 83, passed away on Wednesday April 15 ^th, in the Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, after an illness.

She was predeceased by her husband Wesley T. Cope in 1990.  She leaves her two daughters, Barbara Meng and her longtime companion Joseph Dasilva of Southbridge, and Marie Schmitt and her husband William of Philadelphia, PA; her granddaughter Kristina Ford of Framingham; her two brothers Dominic Mirigliano and his wife Joanne of Lansdowne, PA and Francis Mirigliano and his wife Mary of Springfield PA; she also leaves three nephews and one niece and their children.  She was born in Philadelphia PA, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Clemente) Mirigliano.  She lived most of her life in Philadelphia before moving to Framingham 4 years ago, and then to Southbridge over a year ago.

Kathleen worked as a tax examiner for the IRS before retiring after 35 years of service. She served as a Lector and a member of the Choir at St Bernard's Church in Philadelphia PA. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles and playing bingo.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Kathleen's funeral service and burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Philadelphia PA, will be held at a later date.  There are no calling hours.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St, Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
