Brandon, VT: Kenneth W. LeBlanc, 83, of Mulcahy Dr., passed away on Monday, Feb. 5th, in the Pines at Rutland, Rutland, VT, after a long illness.

He leaves his sister, Pat Hemingway and her husband George of Holland; his brother, Nelson LeBlanc of the Villages, FL; his three nephews, Scott Hemingway and his wife Tara of Charlton, Wayne Hemingway and his wife Janet of Clayton, NC and Daniel Hemingway and his wife Gianna of Wales; his two nieces, Kristin Surozenski and her fiancé Paul Vandal of Brimfield and Debbie Binner and her husband Scott of Jefferson, GA; a great nephew, Sean Binner and his wife Maggie; a great nephew, Joshua Hemingway; two great nieces, Desiree Binner and Kayla Perez and her husband Roldany; and a great great niece, Lilian Marie Perez.  He was predeceased by his stepfather, Anthony St. Laurent.  Ken was born in Southbridge the son of the late Orelle LeBlanc and Lillian (Berthiaume) LeBlanc St. Laurent.  He attended the former Notre Dame High School in Southbridge and attended Castleton State College in Castleton, VT.

Ken was an Activity Leader and later Dormitory Program Coordinator at the Brandon Training School, Brandon, VT, working there for nearly 30 years at the time of it's closing.  He later worked as the manager of the Onion Patch Restaurant at the Sugar Bush Mountain Resort in Waitsfield, VT, retiring many years ago.  He was a former 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  After retiring Ken moved to Georgia and later back to Southbridge.  He moved back to Brandon after the Brandon Training School was converted to apartments.  Ken enjoyed cross country skiing, hiking, horticulture, fishing and volleyball.  He also loved to travel, traveling to England, Scotland, Spain, Caribbean Islands, Canada, South and Southwest United States and throughout New England.

A funeral Mass for Ken will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17th, at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 243 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  Burial in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge, will be held at a later date.  There are no calling hours.
