Obituary

Colonia, NJ : Kevin J. Quinn, 67, of Colonia, NJ, formerly of Southbridge, MA, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on Monday, June 27. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Maura (Rodefeld) Quinn; a son, Thomas P. Quinn of Queens, NY; three sisters, Laurie J. Dunleavy of Southbridge MA, Joan Q. Casey and her husband David of Atlanta GA, and Lisa Q. Noonan and her husband Sean of Sturbridge MA, and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents Thomas P. Quinn and Anne E. (Laliberte) Quinn of Southbridge. He was a 1972 graduate of Marianhill Central Catholic High School where he lettered in baseball and soccer.  He went on to play soccer at the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport CT and received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.  Kevin had a successful sales career in the banking and insurance industry, and retired in June of 2021 from Euler Hermes, an international insurance company.

Kevin had a passion for all sports.  Some of his fondest memories were coaching his son Thomas in youth soccer, skiing with his nephews at Lake Placid, and playing tennis and golf.  One of Kevin's proudest moments was achieving a hole in one at Glen Ridge Country Club in NJ. Although he spent his adult years in the NY/NJ area, his heart remained in New England.  He loved going to Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium, where he and Thomas attended Tom Brady's return to New England as a Buccaneer.

Many will remember Kevin as a trivia buff and for his unique ability to quote lines from any movie; primarily comedies! He loved to make people laugh.
