Kristen A.
Carey
Feb 22, 1983 — Jan 2, 2021
Charlton
Charlton: Kristen A. (Bradbury) Carey, 37, of Southbridge Rd., was killed in a senseless act of domestic violence on Saturday, Jan. 2 nd , in Charlton, MA.
Kristen leaves behind her 12 year old son Nicholas M. Hess; her 9 year old daughter, Natalie R. Gauthier; her mother, Elaine A. (Bradbury) Picano of South Windsor, CT; her brother, Jeffrey R. Bradbury and his wife, Jennifer, of Southborough, MA; and her half sister, Lori Gustafson of Clinton, MA. Kristen was predeceased by her father, Robert A. Gustafson in 2015.
Kristen was born in Worcester February 22, 1983. She spent most of her life in and around the Oxford/Charlton/Southbridge area, and she made friends everywhere she went. Kristen owned her own cleaning company for several years, servicing commercial clients in MA and CT, and recently began working as a full-time custodian for Putnam Elementary School.
Kristen was a light in this dark world that should have never burnt out. It is impossible to sum up all that Kristen was, and all that she meant to the people in her life. Her brilliant smile and heart-felt laughter lit up the room. She was a dedicated, loving mother, and her two children were the center of her world. She was not just a daughter or a sister, but the best friend you could ever hope to have by your side. Kristen selflessly cared for her family and friends without hesitation and without obligation. Kristen meant so much to so many people, and she will be deeply, wholly missed.
Words are insufficient to express the sorrow of her loss, they're just a jumble of letters where a whole life used to be, and a period where there should be a comma.
Calling hours for Kristen will be held on Friday, Jan 8 th , from 4pm-8pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial in Mount St. Benedict cemetery in Bloomfield, CT will be private.
