Meriden, CT / Holland, MA: Lois H. (Hanlan) Barillaro, 99, of Meriden and Holland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sept. 2nd, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center-Harrington in Southbridge, MA.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Michael S. Barillaro.  She leaves four children, Lois Diane Anderson of Elizabethtown, PA, Allen Barillaro of Vermont, Lynn M. Wilson of Meriden, CT and John P. Barillaro of Meriden, CT, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born in Meriden, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Dignatowski) Hanlan.  She is predeceased by her three sisters, Ruth Hanlan Grace, Barbara Hanlan Lowe and Edna Hanna Gardner.

After graduating from Laurel Business College, Lois worked alongside her husband at Barillaro Motor Sales in Meriden until their retirement.

Lois loved spending time with her deeply cherished family and friends, especially at her much-loved lake cottage in Holland, MA.  She loved to read, loved to work in her gardens, loved to travel, loved dining out and especially loved doing her crossword puzzles.  She was woman of deep faith and life-long member of the Episcopal Church.

Lois's funeral service and burial will be private.  There are no calling hours. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
