Southbridge : Marc A. DiPietro, 59, of Ashland Ave., passed away peacefully on March 21st, at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Webster, after an illness.

He is survived by his three sons, Anthony A. DiPietro and his wife Anne of Auburn, Alfred J. DiPietro and his wife Katelyn of Southbridge and Vincent M. DiPietro and his wife Haley of Southbridge; his daughter, Adrianna M. DiPietro of Woodstock, CT; two sisters, Gina M. DiPietro and her husband Majid Goharzadeh of Charlton and Bonnie A. Lovely and her husband Stephen of Charlton;  his four cherished grandchildren, Gia DiPietro, Aurelia Spont-DiPietro, Michael DiPietro, Rocco DiPietro and many nieces and nephews.

Marc was born in Southbridge the son of the late Alfred J. and Barbara M. (St. Martin) DiPietro.

He graduated from Marian Hill high school and went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley.  Marc worked for many years alongside his dad at D & D Welding before taking over the family business.  He also owned and operated Three D Enterprises of Southbridge. Marc enjoyed traveling the world and his time most recently living in Sarasota, FL prior to coming back home.  He was a past member of the Southbridge Lions Club, a Deputy Sheriff for the Worcester Country Sheriffs Office.  Marc assisted the Sheriffs office with search and rescue incidents as well as their annual Senior picnics.  He was a past member of the Southbridge Town Council.  Marc was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his boys.  Above all he was a proud father and grandfather and loved spending time with his grandkids.

Calling hours for Marc will be held on Friday, March 27th, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home.  His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 28th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton.  Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge, will be private.
