Charlton – Marianni (Hudson) Markey, 90, of Masonic Home Rd., passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, May 2nd, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband of 45 years, Albert A. Markey died on Aug. 22, 2006.

She leaves her two daughters, Melissa Robbins and her husband, Daniel, Sr. of Dudley and Andrea Fortin and her husband, James, of Fitchburg; 4 cherished grandchildren, Alexandra and Daniel Robbins Jr., both of Dudley, Nicholas and Cassandra Fortin, both of Fitchburg and many nieces and nephews.  Marianni was predeceased by her two brothers, James Hudson and David Hudson and her two sisters, Gloria Wallace and Florence Peachey. She was also predeceased by her M.S.O., Edmund Wahlstrom of the Overlook.

Marianni was born in Lynn, MA the daughter of David C. and Helen H. (Grant) Hudson.  She grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School.  Marianni worked for more than 30 years as a Dental Assistant, retiring many years ago.  In her younger years she enjoyed  skiing and roller skating.  Marianni always loved a good yard sale or a thrift shop.  Marianni was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and loved to sew.  All through her 80's, she would volunteer at Harrington Hospital to create and sew stuffed animals for children.   She and her husband Al loved to winter in Florida and enjoyed playing cards and bowling with family and friends.

Calling hours for Marianni will be held on Tuesday, May 6th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
