Woodstock, CT: Marie E. (Padula) Blais, 66, passed away Saturday, November. 27 ^th , after a challenging battle with cancer.

Her husband of 43 years, David A. Blais, passed away in February of 2020.  She is survived by her four children, Anthony Blais and his wife Courtney of Worcester, Melissa Sullivan and her husband Michael of Katonah, NY, Timothy Blais and his wife Diane of Grafton and Daniel Blais and his wife Laura of Pepperell; her three sisters, JoAnne Grubert of Sturbridge, Angela Grubert of Palmer and Caroline Padula of VA; her two brothers, Frank Padula of FL and  Joseph Padula of IN; her 9 grandchildren, Isaac, Samantha, Anthony Jr., Kael, Allison, Arya, Finnegan, Emelia, and Cora; and several nieces and nephews.  She was born in Boston the daughter of the late Frank J. and Caroline M. (Genatossio) Padula.

Marie was a Laboratory Manager for Biomere in Worcester. She previously worked CBSET in Lexington, AstraZeneca in Waltham, Charles River Labs in Worcester and Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

Marie's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Marie had an amazing sense of humor, laugh, and smile. She was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, enjoyed traveling, music of all kinds (especially jingles and theme songs), trivia, a good joke and family gatherings. Her humor, happiness and quick wit always brightened the darkest of rooms. Heaven will be a brighter place with her in it.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 7 ^th , from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Anne Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 ^th , from 5:00 to 8:00pm.
