Charlton: Melody J. (Murt) Pack, 67, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 28th, following a long illness.

Melody leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, Roger P. Pack, who loved her through every season of life. Their marriage was forever bound by a fierce and enduring commitment to each other no matter the circumstances. She also leaves behind her son, Blake R. Pack and his wife Laura Ly of Portland OR; her two daughters, Rebekah F Illinger and her wife Amanda of Mystic, CT and Jacquelyn N. Pack of Amesbury; two sisters, Hillary Murt and her husband Bruce Friedman of Ann Arbor, MI and Vickie Murt of Kansas City, Kansas; her cherished grandson, Elliott Pack and many nieces and nephews.

Melody was born on Dearborn MI, the daughter of the late James H. and Frances (Howze) Murt.

She grew up in Dearborn, graduated high school and went on to obtain her associate’s degree. Melody loved her dogs especially her dogs Chloe and Mia. She enjoyed listening to Motown music and one of her favorite singers was Tom Petty. Melody loved to travel and enjoyed her time in the Virgin Islands as well as the coast of CT with family dining out eating her favorite food, seafood. She loved her family above all and enjoyed her time spent with her husband, children, and grandson.

A graveside service for Melody will be held on Friday, November 6th at 12:00 PM in Northside Cemetery, Cemetery Road in Charlton.
