Sturbridge: Michael P. Forcier, 61, passed away on Saturday, April 2 ^nd , in his home after a long illness.

He leaves his daughter, Ashley E. Forcier-Perez and her husband Jose A. Perez Vargas of Fort Sill, OK; his former wife, Margaret A. (Stagg) Forcier of Derby, CT; his four brothers, James Forcier of Brimfield, Gary Forcier and his wife Jessica of Woodstock, CT, Russell Forcier and his wife Sylvia of Brookville, FL and Jeffrey Forcier and his wife Deb of Sturbridge; his three grandchildren, Aaliyah Forcier, Aliajah Forcier and Izaiah Forcier; and several nieces and nephews.  He was born in Southbridge the son of the late Wilfred Paul and Shirley A. (Goudreau) Forcier.

Mike started his long career as a machinist and CNC programmer in California after high school and later worked throughout New England in the trade.  Mike later went on to own and operate his own company G & F Inc. in Florida.  In recent years he was an over the road trucker for Swift Trucking.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping with friends.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything.  Mike lived life his way, but would do anything for those he loved.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his three grandchildren.  Family always came first.

Calling hours for Mike will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.  A graveside service in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with Mike's funeral expenses.
